Hello, my name is Mike, I like building things on my milling machine and metal lathe I just got in the last 2 years. Although I am just starting to learn about machining, I've been an engineer the last 29 years at a power plant. I enjoy seeing others build things, and learn a lot from them.

Building a 1911 pistol, and a single shot falling block rifle for my grandson.
Excellent! Whose frame are you using to build up the 1911? Lots of good components out there - I'm a fan of Wilson Combat, among other sources. I've always wanted to do a Sharps falling block in .45-70.
Can't wait to see project pics!
