Hello my name is Lyle, I'm a steamfitter apprentice by trade. On the side I have an art studio/blacksmith shop, with stick, wirefeed, and oxy/acet welders as well.
I do some knifemaking and am looking to upgrade and simplify my work by building a belt grinder. For years I've had the Gingery books and have been wanting to build the shop machines, especially the lathe. I'm hoping to find useful upgrades that I'm sure people have come up with over the years, based on the original designs. I'm interested in building just about anything that can expand my shop capabilities, I'm sure there are things out there that I don't even know I need yet.
