new to machining

HI there:
My name is, Eli Griggs, age 59, and I am starting to learn more in depth, about machine shop tools and practices. I am starting from scratch and saving for my first bench top mill/drill, then lathe, etc. I have been looking at many of the online resources for my training and I've been slowly gathering a few small tools, mainly measuring and locating items, mostly from e*ay, to full-fill my needs.

I look forward to learning with you, as I move forward towards my goal.
