Hi all,
I'm an avid woodworker who loves to modify my shop tools and make jigs to make the shop safer and more efficient. I've lately been spending way too much time on my self-imposed safety audit of my shop - improving lighting, making push blocks etc for my table saw etc. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I treated myself this past Christmas Eve with the present of nicking my index finger with my table saw!! All healed now and didn't lose too much tissue thank God! First time in over 40+ years of using a table saw that I've ever had an accident (except for the occasional kickbacks of thin strips not properly pushed through -hence the new stock of push sticks I'm working on.)
Cheers all!

Hi Kanuman - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Good to hear the index finger healed up!
So what are you building now? Do you see any projects on this site that you'll be adding to your list?

Hi Kanuman,
Welcome! :welcome:
Yikes! Even the thought of a table saw accident has kept me from buying one all these years. Glad you're OK.
I really appreciate the safety-conscious approach to tool modifications. What's your favorite shop improvement?

Yep, nicking your finger on a table saw does get one's attention. Good of you to do that safety audit. Welcome to the forums! :welcome:
