New to the site.

I have always been interested in the DIY approach to items for around the house and particularly for electronics. I am a active duty soldier in the US Army as a UAV operator, so anything high-tech, micro-controller based and dealing with radio, is my passion. I have my Technician rating for Amateur radio and have been more into the HAM world recently. I enjoy anything and everything to do with the outdoors, particularly camping and staying off-grid for extended periods of time. That is all for now.

Sounds like a fascinating career. As a long-time pilot and flight instructor, I've always wondered about the UAV world and whether I'd feel disconnected from the machine. Is there a perceptible delay from control input to aircraft reaction?
