Hello my name is Bob I am 72 years old and have built a CNC from scratch but am about to build a smaller version. I love machine , Electronics and wood working. Found this site from Pintrest as decide to brows and then found this site very interesting.

What's your plan for the smaller CNC?

Thanks for the welcome.
I am thinking in the terms of a foot print of 20" outside on "X" and 24" outside on "Y" using 16mm rail on each axis and with a "z" clearance of maybe 2".
I will use this CNC for PCB's primarily . I am in the process of building the "X" axis now , and will slowly build the entire machine to se Mach 4 and either NEMA 17 or NEMA 23 Steppers, with a PDMX controller. Since I am using Centroid Acron on my larger machine I think this will be very adequate for my needs on the smaller machine.
