We've just launched BuildThreads.com.

It pulls in new build posts (with photos) from hundreds of DIY forums into one place.
Here's the homepage:

You can browse new build posts by category:
Vehicles:
Cars, Off-Road, Motorcycles, Hot Rods, Kit Cars, Vans, Boats, Aircraft
Fabrication:
Machining, Bladesmithing, Garage & Workshop
Crafts:
Woodworking, Luthiery
Outdoors:
Cabins, Bushcraft
BuildThreads.com currently tracks:
- Over 10,000 build threads
- Around 300 new photo posts/day (closer to 400 on weekends)
It only shows:
- New build posts from the original builder (OP)
- Posts that include photos
You can drill down by specific makes/models/decades. For example:
Chevrolet Camaro builds
1960s Ford Mustang builds
Ducati motorcycle builds
1930s hot rod builds
sport fishing boat builds
Van's Aircraft airplane builds
Here's an example of a filtered feed for Machining:

You can also create your own custom feed:
- Pick exactly what you want (e.g., machining, Jeep CJ, airplanes, 1970s Corvettes)
- Get a page with only those builds
- Optional email or text alerts when new posts with photos show up
You can setup instant or daily digest email notifications when there's a fresh build post.
And, you can also setup text message notifications of new build posts, with a link that goes to a mobile-friendly page to view the post and its photos.
I'm not a big cellphone guy (I've probably sent maybe 20 text messages in my life), but I've been using text alerts during development, and now I actually like my phone.
I ended up picking up new tastes in builds. In addition to my usual favorites, turns out I also like bladesmithing build posts, boat build posts (even living 1,000 miles from an ocean), and conversion van build posts.
I’m still figuring out how to integrate HomemadeTools; whether that becomes its own category or gets mixed into others like Cars and Machining.
Let me know in this thread if you have any questions.
