new user intro
Hello my name is Jim Geib, from Mansfield, Ohio. I am retired, from Highland Local Schools where I was The Tech. Cord. I build small Steam Engines and tool used in my shop. My shop consist of cnc mill and lathe which I made. along withe all other tools and machines to go alone with them. I also enjoy playing with Cad/Cam software. I currently use Inventor2016 and Fusion360 and OnShape.

Thanks For the welcome. I will Have to get some pic's of my shop and projects. My shop is 10 ft.x13 ft. and packed, just enough room to work in. The Mill/lathe started out as a Smithy 1220XL. I have added linear bearings and ball screws on the x-y axis and I am using Mach3 software to control it. I think I control it but sometimes I'm not so sure. I have three current projects running. First is a 1/14 scale R/C excavator, Two a copy of one of Muncastor Steam engines, and three, a Paddlewheeler engine I seen on Home model engine builder Forum. Here is a link to his build

It is a DROP DEAD BEAUTIFUL PaddelWheeler and it run GREAT.
