New??vintage?? Ice pick?/letter opener??

I made this out of some "junk" I mean "treasure" I had laying around the shop. The rod used to be part of a metal grill from an appliance and may not be the best steel for this tool. The handle was a chair rung from an old old chair that just would not leave my shop with out giving up some of its parts. The ferrule was an old lamp globe cap and the other end was one of those pieces of treasures that came from who knows where. Just another fun project that came out of my shop.
