An old power hack saw turns up

Having a guy show up at my place who I haven't seen since sometime in the late 70's or early 80's with this power hacksaw that I allowed him to make while he was on a summer job training program at the shop where I was designing while building a drilling rig.
The saw was patterned after the ones I showed guys hop to build when I was in High school as an assistant shop teacher.
We actually used this little saw many times in the shop during that summer so when he left in the fall to go back to school I told him to take it with him.
Anyway somehow he heard that I was repopulating a small machine shop and brought it to give to me. I couldn't believe that he had kept it all these years. Tommy said it has probably been 30 years since he has used it Except for the cord being bad on the motor is appears that it should still work.
I don't really need it but for the sentiment of it I plan on making it look new again when I get time

Oh yes Tommy has been working for a piping manifold manufacturing company for the past 20 years.
