Opinion On Restricting Access To Women Thread

I've been a member here for a while and have shared a few of my homemade tool projects, designs, etc. I understand there are some costs associated with a site like this and I can understand the need to have the site be able to support itself financially. However, personally, I'm not all that happy about some recent changes and would like to voice my opinion about it. Respectfully, of course.

Along with the tool ideas and other entertainment, I have also enjoyed some of the pictures and videos shared on the "Women" thread. But recently, that has become only available for those with paid memberships. Personally, I think that is a disservice to those of us who have at the very least contributed to the material for which this site has become known, which is tools.

Would it be possible for you to reconsider your decision in this matter and allow those of us who have at least contributed to your huge library of tools and such to be given access to the forum dedicated to women-related material?

I do not have the budget right now for subscribing to this site, but I do contribute from time to time in other ways. Would that not be worth considering for such access? I have to say, it's kind of aggravating to contribute and then be dis-allowed to enjoy some parts of this forum such as this.

Please reconsider your decision on this matter.

Thanks for voicing your position so respectfully. You're right, this site has costs and we decided to meet them with a membership program, instead of relying on advertisements. This has worked so far.

We did grant hundreds of free memberships to our members, but I think you were close to the post count and/or tool count for the free cutoff, and I can understand that would be frustrating.
