Optical center punch - video

I have always wanted one of these but I don't have the right tools to make one. Just wondering if you could add some form of light port to allow the lens point and eventual impact point to be viewed easier. Or even a side port that would accomodate a small LED (rice size bulb) to illuminate the punch site. Your finished product turned (no pun intended) out beautiful. Nice work !

I made one of these some years ago, and you do not need light added. The light will pass through the acrylic rod and lighten up the mark at the base. This only works at a good lighted workshop.
