That is a cool piece but I have no idea how it's used. Seems like it's a milling attachment for very small pieces. The 2 tools on the slider bar look like "centers" to me and not cutting tools to hold a small piece of round bar precisely centered while milling it. That collet looks very small like maybe 3mm?? Does the big black knob only lock the collet or can it be indexed some how? Perhaps part of a screw machine fixture?? Hopefully Doug or someone of his caliber and experience can identify it. Beautiful example of high quality tools!

The quality and versatility of the Schaublin machines reminds me of the Hardinge HVL-H tool room lathes...which make me drool.
