    Yup. Even waterjet cuts a wedge. Some of the higher end machines can tilt the head so that the finished side of the cut is perpendicular to the material (at the expense of the other side).

    I made a CNC flame cutter years ago. It was just a 2 axis machine though. It didn't have any of the fancy stuff like the ability to tilt the torch.
