    A Piano Notes Slide Ruler

As a beginner piano player, I have difficulty identifying some notes on my sheet music. This slide ruler, which I call “Notably,” is intended to help me. It is a 3D-printed tool.

If there was an "H" would that be a nonetic scale? I guess you'd need a half tone somewhere...

By half tones, do you mean sharps and flats?

Yes and no. If it weren't an octave but a nonetic scale, it might be an entirely new scale with the 8 tones (as apposed to the 7 plus the octave) or what we know as an octave divided into 8 "equal" tones (plus the octave).

I suspect the math behind Notably would have to be reworked.

I think a lot of things would need to change most importantly people's perception of "harmony" I would think there would be a lot of clashing tones in a nonetic scale! Kind of like listening to a lot of today's "music"!
