It's a very interesting idea--I like the way it is self-powered and self-contained.
It won't work as is without the addition of stabilizers. I occasionally try to dig a quick drainage trench with my backhoe without putting the stabilizers down, and anything more than a few inches into the ground and the whole tractor bounces around just from the rebound of the tires. A heavy bucket full of mud might be enough weight to tip the pickup onto its side as the boom swings out to the side.
