PIDDLER
What a neat web site. Found it today on Pinterest. I have long been interested in making tools and jigs, starting about twenty some years ago when building my first guitar. Had to build some of the tools and forms. I look forward to using this forum.

Thanks. I will check out the Luthiery category. I really don't consider myself a "luthier", just a "Piddler." I have built six guitars, the last one actually from a kit, helping a young man with his senior project. My first guitar was a classical. I went to our local library and checked out a book on building. That was in 1993. Didn't build anymore until about 2006. The last two were built probably six or seven years ago. I will post some pictures perhaps later today. My son is the "luthier." He took it up six or eight years ago, and has become very accomplished. Check out his website: calebsmithguitars.com

Thanks for that link. Your son is quite a talented guitarist and his instruments are gorgeous. He's really got that pre-war Martin dreadnaught look down perfectly. I really appreciate his commitment to traditional construction methods and materials, too. Very nice stuff, indeed! :hattip:
