I use a roof ladder also called chicken ladder its much saver on a roof that is to steep to walk on.

I had aa roof hook for any later you want to use it on. Yes it will work on ceader shingels

If you guys google strapon roof climing shoes you can find some climers they are not to expensife. Ae for as ceader shingles make shure they are dry.

Throw a rope over the peak secure it to something solid pass the other end through a carbineer on your safety harness and tie yourself off.
