I have been thinking about making a fixed wing airplane. I have designed one similar to the Routan Long-Eze but with two engines in-line. One a puller and the other a pusher. However, seeing recent VTOL drone type devices has me thinking "What if......?"
Damn, too many projects to fit in such a short life. I am far from finished yet so watch this space.

The Long-Eze is such a dare I say perfect aircraft for what it is. I do not see how adding another engine forward could help it unless you were making it a side by side sitting configuration. I would like to see what you are thinking. We have two of them and there is a rather large community of them at our airport.
I too am fascinated by the new "drone" type personal aircraft possibilities.

Safety backup. It would not be a Rutan, it would my design inspired by the various Rutans.
