A jack would fit into a smaller space in the trunk (boot), and would work if the car couldn’t roll forward.

Ever throw dry ice into one of those things and watch them explode? When that thing lets go that will be the end of your ear drums.

Yeah, it sounds like a 12ga shotgun.

On a more practical note. This would only work with an inflated tyre. If the tyre was flat (punctured) the car would not be lifted enough.

It doesn't hurt to get a second opinion. 13:06 video. They mention the thing about pressure and surface area.

Also, don't use bricks to support a car.

I'm confused, "the car would not be lifted enough" lifted enough for what?

Yay, my car has been lifted almost 6 inches by plastic bottle and now I can.....?

Weird how the person placed two blocks under the pinchweld and at the end there were three. The droop in the suspension exceeds the height that the bottle lifted the car.
