It doesn't look to be any faster than hand filing.

The video is at least 2x normal speed and still taking more time than if the work were done by hand. Not to mention the noise from a pneumatic tool. It's hard to imagine a practical use for this.

And the wear on the files, the time to change files etc.
I have found that some people just have to use a powered tool. I never forget an experience in the mid 1980s. I was with a friend in his shop and we had two scooter frames to cut up for a project. I asked him for some new hacksaw blades, he went off to the hardware store. He came back with the blades but he had also bought a Sawsall. We cut up one frame each, yes you guessed I finished way ahead with the hacksaw, the cut edges needed less finishing and I made much less noise. I am not against power tools, I have several, but there are many cases where you can be ahead if you just pick up a file, saw, manual screw driver etc and just do the job.
