Had nothing better to do over a long 4-day weekend while stuck at a TruckStop in Tuson AZ. spent most of the time hand polishing the tanks on my truck. 1st and last time they were ever polished. Couple weeks later found me driving from one end to the other on IH90. winter conditions driving the whole way. Got back to Texas, finally. After washing the truck, I couldn't tell the tanks had ever been polished, probably didn't do a proper job in the first place. Drove over to a place that acidized. tank trailers had it done to my tanks then painted them. paint still looked decent 3 years later when I sold the truck.
What a dirty shitty job that is, you sure need a shower before you leave work after doing that for 8 hrs.
