    Power Pipe Make Helper

    I have been a power pipe nut for latest several years, always wanting to make a nice pipe for my old saws to let them work again in wood. So showing here is a very simple and easy pipe-make-helper for straight and corn pipes. What you need in the operation is some of your muscle labor to it, so I am afraid you will be disappointed if you expect very decent and precision work with this tool, lol.

    For straight pipes;
    Cut out a rectangle pipe;

    Add L angle bars, and a couple of round bar, been cut in the same length;

    Make a couple of spacers. Their sizes are up to the sizes of the pipes in your project, but should not be too large, like the one you use for air ventilation of a house.

    Place the spacers at the both ends;

    For cones;
    Widen one of the ends;

    Buy a baseball bat, lol.

    Give it a nice cut and shape it up!;

    (will post how I use it later...)

    For straight pipes;

    Place the spacers at both ends and lay a sheet metal on it;

    Put another round bar on it and give it some press evenly;

    Press it step by step, this side and the other side evenly;

    Some patient work needed, lol.

    For a tad bigger pipe;

    Use a couple of bigger spacers;

    Bigger pipe needs a bigger pressing bar, so wrap some aluminium film onto it if needed;

    For cones;

    Give the sheet some cuts first;

    Give the both ends some curb with the tool;
    Power Pipe Make Helper-bending_cone_01.jpg

    Then roll it with hands,

    Place the shaped-up-baseball-bat into the cone and roll it well with good pressure.
    Add some mallet work if needed;

    I mostly do this job with 0.5mm thick steel sheet, which allows me easier job than 0.8mm thick.

    Glad if this can be of some help to you!
    Thank you for watching.
