    That is probably cast iron. But still dry tapping? And at production speeds no less. Guess they are not concerned about tool wear.

    It is not completely dry, that smoke has to come from somewhere. Often for clarity, in machining videos, the coolant is turned off. In any case I would always tap grey cast iron dry, maybe a cooling air blast but dry.
