Clever solution to keep the fixation nut from twisting when tightening.
What plate material did you use?
-Not intending to be impertinent, but I wonder if you find the two M6 x30 allen bolts
(in both shear and tension) being sufficient for holding the fixed jaw,
or if it perhaps tends to lift upwards-backwards a tiny bit when clamping down hard?
Some solutions use a perpendicular rear key in milled slots in the base & fixed jaw,
thus the jaw stays put and the bolts (now just taking tension) only needs to hold the jaw down.
