OK, the guy has a pit crew, they know exactly how to make the most perfect plastic mortar mix, and sets up blocks, just in time, so they are not in the way as he's preparing the next course.
But this all starts with real good mortar mix, so it sticks to the blocks and does not fall off the end buttered. And just enough mortar, so tapping in to level is zero time.
It's always crazy to me, to see sanctioned competitions, with the title of 'best block layer team'. But I hate organized everything, so it's all funny to me, these people are serious. I wonder if they work that fast in their day job.
