Im having trouble getting a profile picture or avatar to show next to my posts, ive uploaded a profile picture but its not showing next to my posts?

Sure, no problem; click "Settings" in the upper-right, and then click "Edit Avatar" on the left-hand side, around the middle of the page. Let me know if that does it.
