Quad-engine ride-on lawnmower - video and photo

Good for mowing fairways. Not so good around the sand traps......

I started to comment on this 4 times none of them could express my real thoughts about this machine.
My wife may have said it best though She will keep her 18/42 Craftsman just like it is because at least it can be turned around in the yard

As a lawn mower it would suck, lack of turning circle and way too long, 72HP for a single 42" cut, I think that some people have too much time and money. If it's for something different, such as for ride-on mower speed trials or so, it would probably work. Personally I would have put in a 1+lt motor bike engine and shortened the length. But as the saying goes, each to their own and what ever floats your boat.
As the guy said at the end of the video, "only in America". Take it which ever way you want!:headscratch:

I'm not sure what it says about me, but my very first thought when seeing this was to wonder why the engines are so far apart. It seems like a waste of material.
This tractor is absolutely ridiculous and it is all the more awesome for it.
It looks nicely done as well.

Even with the four wheel steer it would be like a Land Rover trying to turn around in a 5 acre paddock. I guess he did it 'cause he could. Plenty of spares to boot.
I saw a guy driving a six ft mower in parks north of Brisbane (Pine Rivers shire, I think). it was travelling around 35 kph & cutting the grass nicely. I asked him about it & was told the home made contraption was a subaru cut down: dont know how the council allowed the contractor to use it, but it did have all the safety guards & the deck looked a little like a Kubota.

Something very strange going on here? Decals on the hood read “54/42” & “3’s a crowd”. He may be good at fabbing but his math sucks!
