An el-cheapo 2 inch paint brush held over the flying chips works just as well ------------- :-)

You could mitigate some of the flimsiness by inserting some metal wire before running it through the laminating machine.

Aluminum or steel window screen would work if you went that way, but I was thinking of thicker wire around the perimeter, leaving the field open.

been there done that, also with .080 lexan&some .125 plexie. and even a formed faceshield .witch and what you use may be dictated on what you are machining and how often. for me chips arent the issue as much as oil being slung off. for me the chips from the milling machine are way more bothersome than the lathe. I also added a tall back splash to mt 2 lathes. And on my 7x14 mini I moved the back splash back about 2" from where it was and that's much better for my liking.
