Quick Way to Find the End of a Roll of Tape

I heard about this the other day and thought it was kind of clever. Stick one of those plastic things that come on a loaf of bread on your tape roll. No more picking at it with your fingernail. No need to cut off a folded end.

I just turn a bit of the end back on itself (sticky side to sticky side). That makes a bulge easily visible to the eye plus provides a "handle" to grasp to pull out the next needed length of tape.

I'll add the plastic tab trick to common version of folding a bit under. Things like packing tape, whether clear or filament are crazy strong, but split rather easily. So, folding averts that. Other tapes make a tab logical and easier.

tmate3, are you not in one of the British Empire based countries? I'm betting just like here, every kitchen has one "junk drawer", filled with stuff like this

I've been saving them, but until now I had no idea why!
