    Christophe Mineau's Tools

    Radius sanding block

    Here is another luthier tool,
    It's a sanding block designed to sand the radius of a fingerboard.



    There are lots of different ways to make them, here is my personal approach, it is somewhat similar as 3D printing actually, but with wood :-)

    Wow, what a neat way to build up the part. Your great photos really helped to explain the process. I bet the sanding block is very comfortable to use for your work.

    Great tool and writeup Christophe. Sanding fingerboards would be a breeze with this 12" block.

    That is an interesting method...... I would do it via shaper and basic set of cutters&moulding head, but I am a woodhead first and foremost, metalhead secondly.....
