These are pretty funky, in a retro sort of way. Maybe I'm a bit twisted, but I can see myself making one of these...

I love Randy Grubb's work. I can see one of these hanging from davits off the back of the Decoliner like an auxiliary on a yacht :-)
Please make me one - my birthday is in January so you have lots of time.
:-)
That Deco-Liner turned my crank!
Very cool bikes. I'd love to see the nuts and bolts of one. Outside view is cool, but seeing how it was constructed would really be sweet.
As an artist who makes my entire living off of my art, I cannot imagine him selling that for his stated price of $25k - waaaaay too cheap!
That WAS 5 years ago, but still... his talent for design and fabrication is outta this world.
Rikk,
Here's a Youtube video of him telling all about how he built the Decopods...

Some argue Jay isn't all that great an auto aficionado. Patently wrong, I doubt many collectors physically ENJOY their amassed pieces, let alone share the pleasure. Since he's one of Grubb's customers, no requirement he own them all. Probably half said collection is more conventional autos, branching into uniqueness isn't odd.
Sad part. Few other drivers demonstrated interest, thumbs-up or visible reactions. How is that possible?
I know, just like we experience by outsiders having no concept how things begin, let alone finish.
