I just joined and am interested in machining, wood working, welding, milling, carpentry, hunting, fishing, camping. I graduated gunsmithing at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1995. I currently work as a biomedical engineer for ABM Health care solutions, and do gunsmithing on the side( when time allows). I retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years service.

Hi Randy - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Sounds like you have a very useful skill set. What's next up on your projects list?

I currently have a 1917 Enfield that a customer wants sporterized. Mill the receiver to be like either a Winchester or Remington, drill and tap scope mounts, strip and re-blue, float the barrel, re-do the stock, change the trigger to an adjustable ( Timney ) trigger. Bore site and range test. So far I have the barrel and action stripped, stock roughed in, action drilled and tapped.
Then there is welding up new gates for the horses, getting winter hay, repairing the fences on 15 acres. Building a new exhaust system for the jet boat. The list is endless..and growing.

That's a wide-ranging set of skills and experiences, Randy! Glad to have you on board. :welcome:
