    Does that work with latex modified thinset mortar? And with e.g. Marble? I have one tile right in the middle of my bathroom with significant lippage. I'd love a way to fix that without tearing everything out.

    Go ahead and try it. That torch he is using looks a lot like one I bought at Harbor Freight that is supposed to be for killing weeds. It connects to a 5 gallon propane tank. It doesn't work well as a weed killer but I think it would be a good heat source for a cobbled together forge. It has a "turbo" function by pulling on the lever. His apparently works only by pulling on the lever. Mine works by turning up the knob but will really flame by pulling on the lever.
