Soak a shop towel in gasoline then grip it over the next and pull it down, Faster uses less gasoline and works even when there is not a flat surface
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Spray/soak the nest with rubbing alcohol. It works on contact and the smell goes away quickly.

I like to mix up a strong soap solution in a small bucket and then douse the nest quickly. The soap immediately suffocates the wasps and they fall from the nest and die. Works as good as gasoline without staining the siding etc...

That's the one I've used many times. But it takes next to no soap. A few drops of dish detergent in a spray bottle can take out an entire nest.

I just use the spray can and hit it from twenty feet away, it's kind of fun and no wasted gas or having to dispose of same.
