    Restore throatless shear

I had bought this shear at a DRMO auction many years ago and finally got around to fixing it. The areas where metal moves against metal had rusted together and wouldn't move at all. I got it apart and was able to clean it up. After I painted it, I applied oil to all of the metal to metal areas and it works great. I know the color is not what it was originally, but I picked the color that my Lista cabinets are. It works for me.Restore throatless shear-img_1498.jpgRestore throatless shear-img_1499.jpgRestore throatless shear-img_1500.jpgRestore throatless shear-img_1501.jpg

How does that anti tilt cam work without jamming the cutting action?

As the metal is cut, the right side is pushed downward slightly so you can keep cutting continuously. This shear is only supposed to cut 1/8 metal thickness. With the longer handle on it, I can cut metal slightly thicker. I haven't had any issues with it jamming as long as the metal to metal parts are oiled. Hope this helps.
