I am a electrical lineman retired in 2010 41 years in the trade supervisor for 11 yrs lineman for 30 I have a 13x40 jet lathe and a small jet mill i love to weld and construct thing out of metal. I have been a tinkerer all my life of all the vehicles I have owned only two have been on a shop other than mine that doesn't include a few oil changes however my son hardly knows which end of screwdriver to use ,my punishment for being in the shop too much and not making him join me. Glad to be aboard!!

I think that the "builder" gene just skips randomly between generations. My father couldn't have changed a light bulb (and we wouldn't have trusted him to do it), but I've built things all my life (airplanes, motorcycles, guns, and now a car). Go figure.
