Seems to be more a de-burring tool than a true countersink. But cool if you need to do much if that.

Yes I could, but my list of things I want to do seems to be too long for the time I have available. Retirement is great, but it's too short!

Thanks, I'll put it on my todo list IntheGroove.

Thanks Mark & Ralph. I could have looked for one myself, but having now been spoon fed I'm surprised at the cost. If I did make one I would hesitate at drilling a small hole through a small piece of HSS. I think that would be challenging. I have drills that can put a hole through a file but the 3 or 4mm size drill to hold the cutting blade would be costly and fragile and need to rotate at RPM beyond the speed of any machine I have, or contemplate getting.

Does not have to be HSS. Take an broken carbon steel drill bit or one of those files you drilled a hole in. Anneal it, forge it flat, shape it, drill it, harden it, temper it.

I know, it all takes time, but it is an option many do not think about.
