    Interesting to see but still a long way to go before we see a 747 fully loaded flying on batteries to Japan.

    That could work, BUT, lithium batteries are not permitted on aircraft unless they are in the passenger compartment. Also, no one would be able to take any checked or carry-on luggage as they would need all of that space for batteries.

    Thats interesting. I had always associated what seems to be prop noise for engine noise. I was expecting this to be almost silent.

    A battery powered commercial aircraft makes about as much sense to me as a steam powered one. In the late 1800's / early 1900's many tried powering aircraft by steam only a few ever successfully achieved flight, none were prolonged
    Lots of write up hype with marvelous claims to design performances though. In the world of fantasy many things sound too good to be true which usually are just that.

    The sound of the prop actually makes it sound like an aeroplane.
