I made all kinds of tools from anvils to universal sockets. I took a 14 inch HF band saw and made it into a 25 inch deep throat cutting table I can cut a 4x8 sheet of steel in half

Sounds like you'll fit in well here. :) I'm a rookie pilot myself, and our other admin built an RV.

Be sure to post pics of that cutting table; sounds like an interesting project.

I just weld on aircraft as an A&P I had a FAA Certified Welding repair for twenty eight years

My RV is long gone, unfortunately. I miss it every day, but life went in a different direction for a number of years. Now thinking about exploring another corner of aviation, as the siren call of an L-39 grows stronger… :cool:
