Because it is green or because it is metal? I doubt you can find a couple dozen houses in the county where I live that don't have metal roofs. There may be a few more in town who still have asphalt shingles and a few with tile roofs.

Because of the pattern. Most of the houses around here have metal roofs. The house next to mine is the color of that sheeting. The light color for the house and the darker color for the trim. Not the prettiest house in the neighbourhood...

Hahaha, Yeah, it would make the roof look like it was covered in grass. But it might look alright in an area where houses have sod roofs
