Nicely made jig but I am asking myself why go to all that effort, surely in a wood working shop it would be a lot easier to turn the stock on a wood lathe and then you are not limited to length of bar you can produce? Please let me know if I am missing something here. But very nice workshop and table-saw sledge.
If you watch closely at the beginning, the jig is comprised, in part, of pieces of a lathe he evidently made, so it makes even less sense...
I've seen folks do things like this to make round tenons on a tablesaw, basically out of convenience, since you're already using it to make the rest of whatever you're making, but those are typically just using a regular cross-cut sled with a stop on it, and lowering the blade to suit.
