    From my time with Reliant Scimitars which have a lot of those bushing at both ends I have always used washing up detergent to good effect, it dries out with no detriment to the bushings.

    Everybody's wound up about the Boeing using dish soap as assembly lube, but that's a pretty normal thing. I've used it many times and it works well.
