    Too much effort. He shouldn't have to strain his neck like that to get a chip. Back to the drawing board...

    I guess he thinks his gadget is helping him to be more productive at his computer, but he would be far more productive to just pour some chips out on a plate and every once in a while, pick up a chip and put it in his mouth. Having the running vacuum strapped to his back and the string tied to his hat having to move his head for chip retrieval would be far more distracting causing loss of concentration
