A miter saw with a 2-handed pistol grip control, and a foot-operated clamping bar, built by Jeffrey Toy. Although this project was unsuccessful on Kickstarter ($0 funding), it's still interesting. It stands in contrast to the previously-mentioned SawStop. While SawStop is intended to minimize damage caused by unsafe use, SAFE-SAW compels the user to use the saw more safely. Great example of two very different safety methodologies.
