    Sawing Threaded Rod Axially

    If you try to axially cut the thread off of a piece of threaded rod using a horizontal bandsaw, the blade will tend to wander. This is because one side of the blade is cutting a lot of metal and the other side has none. The solution presented here puts enough metal on both sides of the blade so it cuts true.
