But to show how far just 10 years have brought us, Koenigsegg has a new 2-liter, 3-cylinder engine that puts out over 600 horsepower and around 440 lb-ft of torque. And it doesn't even have a cam; it uses them newfangled computators to open and close the valves. I'm guessing the sunshine-colored terror, above, has got the Ferrari 5.7-liter, 12-cylinder they used in the Superamerica. It put out a little over 500 horsepower and around 425 lb-ft of Torque, so almost as much as an engine with about 1/3rd its displacement and nine fewer cylinders.
