There's a foot under the crane. That would help a bit. Not enough though. Pretty sure the cab isn't enough weight even for smallish stuff directly behind the truck. A good width of flat bed on the frame aft of the cab, and extendable stabilizers so you could set things like lathes up there for transport... and not lift the front wheels off the ground!
