My 4th grade teacher was overcome with glee when I showed up after the Christmas/ New year's holidays with my left arm in a cast. She had tried from my 1st day in her class to force me to write with my right hand, think it really ticked her off when she realized I could write just as well right-handed as I could with my left I just preferred to write with my left and still do. She finally gave up after my cast was removed when. one day she made me write the multiplication tables through 12x12 at the chalk board.
