Flash floods are a force to be avoided
Feb 20, 2020 · These ‘afiqim’ (flash floods) cascade down (either to the Dead Sea or to the Mediterranean) as a wall of water moving at great speed (40 miles/60 km. per hour) and sometimes attaining a height of 30 feet/9 meters (see http://www.timesofisrael.com/desert-...s-lash-israel/ for a recent example).

Just looks like inexperience to me. End of story & his job unless he owns the rig and if insurance pays.
